Wen by Chaz Dean sweet almond mint cleansing conditioner
A few weeks ago I received a sample of Wen by Chaz Dean. I finally used it and I'm impressed. It's a bit different from typical shampoo and conditioner because it's kinda like both in one product. You massage it in then let it do its thing. It works really well and I can't believe how shiny and clean my hair looks and feels. The smell is slightly minty which is very pleasant and it's mildly tingly on the scalp, but to me that feels like it's cleansing so it's not a bad thing. I think even the color is more vibrant, especially considering I didn't use any of my Ulta red glaze! I seriously may pick up some more of this stuff on Amazon because I love the smell and the way my hair looks and feels is amazing! See the results for yourself and check out the video version of my review!

Sally Hansen Salon Effects pedicure edition
As you can probably tell, I'm a big fan of Sally Hansen. Well, I managed to score their Salon Effects Pedicure strips on sale at Walgreens today so my mom gave me a pedicure with them. The results are just as stunning as the fingernail strips! They're incredibly easy to use and look amazing. A perk with the Salon Effects is no drying time as well as professional looking results. My mom has already tried them and two weeks later her toes still look fantastic! I'll keep these in mind for those summer vacations where I don't want to have to touch up my toes almost daily and they'd be great for special occasions with open toed shoes. Here's the result:
This one is a fun summery floral but they make several designs. I highly recommend them for a fast fabulous pedicure!

Beginning a new journey...
I'm two days into a diagnosis of Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome. After years of pain and problems, a doctor took me seriously enough to figure out what's going on with me. The relief I feel is overwhelming but so is the feeling that life isn't going to be the same. Before knowing, it was easy to convince myself that it's all in my head and I'd push through the pain to function. But now I'll have to change how I do almost everything. I've always been very active and on the go, so I need to slow down and I'll have to figure out how to exercise with EDS. Against all odds, I found out one of my friends also has EDS and she's had it for years, so she's already been talking to me about it, telling me what to expect and letting me talk about how I feel. Things are going to change and although this blog will still be dedicated to product reviews, there will be posts every now and then about my EDS journey. I'm brand new with this but I hope with time I'll be able to help others who are in my position now, like my friend is helping me cope.

Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens part 1
I'm reviewing this particular item in two parts because so far my experience has been mediocre but I'm giving it another chance soon for a very specific reason. I think my design was a bit complex so I'm going to try something simple and re-review it. So look at this as a review of Sally Hansen Nail Art Pens for complicated nail art.
First, they make a mess. I had so many smudges I had to wipe away and my blue pen started running dry while I was still on my first hand, so I had to really work it and ended up with ink all over my hands. It also runs a bit on the nail which is another reason complex designs don't work so well. I wanted crisp edges and got rounded corners instead. Another problem is, as I previously said, the blue pen started drying up. I'm not sure if it's a common problem as the white one seemed fine the whole time and I was using it more. I never left them uncapped so they may not have a very long life.
So far I'd only recommend them if you find them on sale (I got them buy one get one 50% off at Rite Aid) or have a high value coupon but I plan to do a part 2 review once I've given them a second chance with a simple flower or heart design. I also suspect practice helps as well but overall these are best for simpler art. Now for the pictures. The first is the Bavarian flag I was attempting. The others are my results.
